Caribbean Beach Resort transportation tips

Request a room close to a bus stop.

A common concern for first-time visitors to Disney World’s Caribbean Beach Resort is transportation. Here are some tips and tricks for getting around Disney World while staying at Caribbean Beach.

If you’re wondering about whether you should rent a car versus use the Disney Transport buses, there are a few things to take into consideration. If you’re only planning on hitting the major theme parks, water parks, and Downtown Disney, then you’ll have direct routes to all of these from Caribbean Beach, and you should consider using the buses.

However, if you want to explore a lot of the resort areas, such as the Magic Kingdom area resorts — Grand Floridian, Contemporary, Polynesian and Wilderness Lodge — or the Epcot Boardwalk area, consider renting a car. Why? You’ll need at least two bus rides to get to any other resorts from Caribbean Beach, and that can add a lot of travel time that can eat into your vacation.

Now, if you do decide to take advantage of Disney bus transport, be sure to take a look at our travel times for the other destinations around Walt Disney World.
