Top 5 Things to Do at Caribbean Beach Resort

Caribbean Beach Pool

Caribbean Beach Resort is full of fun things to do and we always like to enjoy at least a partial resort day so that we can relax and take part in some of the resort’s activities.

To that end we thought it would be a good idea to come up with a “top 5” list of things you should try to do this year at CBR!

And so, in no particular order here is our “Top 5 Things to Do in 2015” list:

Stay in a Pirate Room: The Pirate rooms at Caribbean Beach are worth the extra money! Sure they’re all the way out in Trinidad South but a little extra walking won’t matter when your kids see the pirate ship-shaped bed and the navigation table! Ahoy mateys!

Send a Coconut Postcard:You could send a ho-hum boring postcard to friends and family back home, but why would you do that when you can send a real coconut? You’ll find the coconut postcards in the Calypso Trading Post.

Dine at Shutters: If you’re looking for a table service restaurant where you likely won’t need an Advance Dining Reservations, Shutters is that spot! Known for fan favorites like chorizo black bean soup and chicken wings with habanero brown sugar sauce, it’s a great place for dinner when you want something with Caribbean flair. And the best part is, you don’t have to leave the hotel for dinner so you can enjoy your meal and then enjoy a walk on the beach!

Kick Back in a Hammock on the Beach: After a long day at the theme parks there’s nothing quite like coming back to the hotel chilling out in a hammock, swaying gently as the warm tropical breeze blows through our hair while sipping a frozen concoction of some kind. Some of the best hammocks at the resort can be found over at Caribbean Cay in the middle of Barefoot Bay.

Enjoy a Pool Day at the Fuentes del Morro Pool: There is so much to love about this zero-depth-entry virtual water park featuring shooting water cannons and two water slides, including an 82-foot-long slide that goes through the Fuentes del Morro Fort. The smaller kids will love the huge wading pool and aqua play area with squirt hoses, a huge bucket that drops water from above, and three kid-sized slides.

So there you have it – fives things that will make your stay at Caribbean Beach Resort extra-magical!

We’d love to hear about your ‘must-dos’ at CBR! Leave us a comment and let us know.
