Shutters Restaurant at Old Port Royale

Next time you book your Walt Disney World Vacation Package at the Caribbean Beach Resort, you may want to stop into their table service restaurant for dinner. Shutters tucked away at the back of the food court in the in the Old Port Royale building. It features the same type of colonial island décor featured around the rest of the Old Port Royale Building decorated with brightly colored paint themes. The dining rooms are small, but the open kitchen is entertaining as you watch your meal being made.

Shutters is open from 5-10pm, and offers limited room service from the restaurant is available from 4 pm until midnight. Shutters offers the Tables In Wonderland discount and costs 1 Table Service Credit on the Disney Dining Plan.

The restaurant gets mixed reviews from Disney fans online, but the go to experts at the Disney Food Blog offer up some suggestions to order such as fan favorites such as:
“Caribbean Pork Ribs, Black Beans and rice, Roasted Sweet Plantains, and Jerk Crusted Tuna”. Word also has it that they serve a fairly nice Key Lime Pie.

The featured beer at Shutters is from Desnoes & Geddes Limited in Kingston, Jamaica. It’s labeled as “Red Stripe” and sports a mere 4.7% alcohol content making it a great middle of the day brew. You can find Red Stripe at Shutters as well as several other pool bars around the Walt Disney World Resort.

There are several specialty cocktails highlighted at Shutters that can be enjoyed with your dinner. Amongst them you may want to try the Shutters Swirl – Bacardi rum and a frozen blend of pineapple and coconut juices with a strawberry swirl topped with melon liqueur. This cocktail will set you back about $9.50
